Silk & Linen Jacket, Ivory Cotton & Cashmere Trousers with Powder Blue Linen Shirt

Introduction

This silk & linen jacket is ideal for high summer day/evening receptions. The combination of double-breasted and three patch pockets indeed makes this Look directional, however, the understated colour and texture of the fabric keeps it in the real world.

The powder blue shirt is so soft it’s almost white and ties back to the light blue in the jacket’s herringbone weave whilst the off-white vintage buttons nods discretely to the Ivory trousers. Swap the trousers to navy blue for some added versatility.

• Jacket: Double-breasted, peak lapel with side vents, 3 patch pockets, mid brown horn buttons; fully lined with a navy lining. Rouleau loop on inside pocket, piano facing and 1mm edge stitching. Made using a silk & linen from Dugdale’s Cascade | Bunch No. 154. Recommended Patterns for this fabric are White Label Soft, Black Label Soft and Black Label Super Soft.
• Trousers: Plain fronted with zip fly, two back pockets, American ¼ cross pockets with belt loops. Made using a cotton & cashmere wool from Scabal Cashmere Cotton & Pure Cotton | Bunch No. 2383. Recommended Patterns for this fabric are Classic and Fitted.
• Shirt: Single cuff with small semi-cutaway collar, 3mm edge stitching and off white vintage button. The collars and cuff have no interlings. The collar has been given pockets for collar bones. Made using a fabric from the House White | Linen Bunch.
